Having made a wrong turn driving through Poughkeepsie, I can assure you
that they have a small 'ghetto' populated by African-Americans and
Hispanics. Also when we drive through, we eat breakfast at the Greek-run
diner, and there appear to be an awfully lot of Italian Restaurants.
Of course, by today's commuting standards Poughkeepsie is a suburb of New
York City :-).
