Yes, but I think a "klick" in the US military means "1000 feet" today. I
THINK it comes from those little wheels that you used to roll along to
measure distance. The military ones used to go to 1000 feet and roll
over, hence the "klick". The US artillery (and naval gunners) used
thousands of yards and feet, rather than miles, until recently.
