Bollocks. Inappropriate conversions give the illusion of a precision which
is totally lacking in real life situations.
"It's about 2 meters high, or 78.74015 inches" - see how the imperial
system gives the illusion of a precision which is totally lacking in
real life situations? It would be funny if it you couldn't see news
reports making exactly that mistake.
(Like a while back a large iceberg had its thinkness described as an
odd number of feet, implying it had been measured that accurately -
until you converted and saw that the original figure was to an
accuracy of 100 meters.)
