Regardless of the merits of base, why are there so many people who think
the way you count has something to do with the number of fingers you
have? Did you people learn nothing in elementary school?
Look, plenty of computer people deal with hex every day, and none that
I've ever known do it by roping it parts of their body beyond their
finges.
The WHOLE POINT of things like a positional number system is to decouple
counting and arithmetic and stuff from a one-to-one correspondence with
parts of the body.
