The people who run Homeland, Jewel-Osco, and Aldi (all large grocery-store
chains) would disagree with you. They all run ads featuring pints of
strawberries and raspberries. The American Heritage Dictionary would
also disagree, as it defines a pint as "A U.S. Customary unit of volume
or capacity, used in dry measure, equal to 1/2 quart or 33.6 cubic inches"
(1976, p. 537).
