We must not let pass without challenging the vengeful devolution of
anthropological thought as expressed by racists, fundamentalists, and
right-wingers. Tyler, Morgan, Franz Boaz, Alfred Kroeber, Robert Heizer,
and the hundreds of like-minded scholars and fellow students have
reconstructed human pasts with tangible evidence and cogent
conclusions...The devolutionists seek the extinction of "culturism" and
social sciences as well.
