You are best off asking these questions in sci.paleo. As far as
Ardipithecus is concerned, it's what Australopithecus Ramidus was renamed
after White and Co. decided the remains didn't fit well enough within the
original genus. As far as I know, no new Ardipithecus remains have been
described in the literature. Such details are usually published in Nature.
