Undoubtedly so. Debate and evidence are to science as mutation and
selection are to evolution: ideas arise, most are culled, the powerful,
working stuff remains. The charged emotion behind the posting which
originated this thread suggests to me that a cryptocreationist agenda is
being advanced rather than any legitimate critiques of the journal
_Nature_ or the field of paleoanthropology.
