In Israel the week starts on a Sunday, since Saturday is the Jewish
day of rest(a 5-day work-week ends on Thursday).

Not only that, but the Jewish calender has 13 months a year every 2
or 3 years (it's a 19-year cycle, out of which 6 or 7 years have 13
months).
