ANNOUNCEMENT
WHAT: A talk
TITLE: "Was Evolution God's Method of Creation?"
BY WHOM: Paul A. Nelson
Research Fellow
The Pascal Centre for Advanced Studies in Faith & Science
(Ancaster, Ontario)
DESCRIPTION:
The theory of evolution -- meaning the common descent
of all organisms by means primarily of natural selection
-- is today biological orthodoxy. Many theists (met with
the overwhelming support for evolution in the scientific
community) argue that since theological truth cannot
ultimately conflict with scientific truth, God must have
created living things, and human beings in particular,
via evolution. Paul Nelson looks carefully at the
elements of this argument, seeking to clarify the key
issues at stake.
