Budget info for a dig

Hello. Just a note: this isn't David, but his brother Glen.

I'm in fourth year at U of T studying anthropology, and at this point I
am engaged in a project whereby I must budget a fictious dig to take
place in southern Ontario (supposedly near Udora, a Paleoindian site dug
up by P. Storck).
So far my search for any examples of such a financial projection has met
with failure, and I am at a loss as to how one even begins a budget such
as this.
If anyone out there could advise me as to where I could obtain this
information (ie. from books, government records etc.) or even give me a
quick overview on the subject, I'd be one happy camper.
