Post-modern man?

Sorry if this is the wrong group to post
in.
I am wondering, how long has "man" been
modern, and are there signs in modern man
of continuing evolution? Will we lose our
toe(s) or our canine teeth? Because of our
more or less stable environment, i.e. our
technological society, controlled living
habitat, and agriculture, has this "slowed
down" the evolutionary pace that would be
predicted for truly wild animals living
somewhere that man hadn't messed up? Like
mars, maybe! One last question: Do our
brains evolve when in 100 years computers
are as cognitive as a human, and if benev-
olent, will do all difficult computational
functions for us?
Thanks
Robert
