An encyclopedia can tell about loess. Or at least a newsgroup more tied
to soil science. Libraries are good. This isn't the right newsgroup,
and your question is too vague anyway. Find a more appropriate
newsgroup, devoted to soil science or geology perhaps, tighten up your
question, perhaps with the aid of a little basic library research, and
try again there.
