Knuckle walking is an very specialized form of locomotor adaptation,
every bit as much so as bipedialism. It therefore stands to reason that
both bipedialism and knuckle walking evolved from a common ancestor that
did neither. Because human kind evolved from some distant ape-like
ancestor, and most apes walk on their knuckles, it does not follow that
human kind at some point walked on its knuckles too. Bad argument,
circular reasoning.
