We have no genetic data for either neanderthalis or erectus. Therefore,
your idea that they may not have interbred has merit. Unfortunately,
we don't know if it is *definately* true. So, to answer your question,
yes, it has occured to us. It just remains a theory, and there is
nothing wrong with that.
