The University of Arizona, Department of Anthropology seeks an
environmental anthropologist able to work with students of varied
subfield interests. Ph.D. required as well as demonstrated excellence
in teaching and research. Rank and geographical area open. Send

The University of Arizona Department of Anthropology invites
applications for a tenure-track position in Linguistic Anthropology at
the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 1996. Ph.D. required.
Topical and geographical areas open, although preference will be given
to candidates with specializations that link linguistic to cultural
interest, particularly gender and language, health discourses,
Hispanic sociolinguistics and language, and culture and cognition, and
to candidates with areal interests other than native North America.

accepted no later than January 8, 1996.
