scene from "The Hunters?"

Can you help me identify the film containing the following scene? I thought
it was from "The Hunters" but apparently it's not.

The scene is of a shaman or storyteller soothing the concerns of those left
at the base camp while the hunters are off on a several day enterprise of
tracking a large animal (giraffe or elephant)? I was trying to locate this
scene for a friend giving a lecture on the fuctions of story-telling and
narrative.

I'd appreciate any pointers anyone may have...
