Kate Gillogly asks whether anyone else has encountered cross-cultural
curiosity in the field and spent time explaining their culture and other
groups to their informants. I have used the term *ethnoethnography* to
describe this phenomenon and written two articles on it. I would like to
know of other interested in this topic. Perhaps we could develop a panel
for an AAA meeting. "An Ethnoethnography of Missionaries in Kalingaland,"
STUDIES IN THIRD WORLD SOCIETIES (26):10-18 (1984) and "Ethnoethnographers
and the Anthropologist," ANTHROPOLOGY 10:55-74 (1986). Robert Lawless,
