birds in weather forecasting

Hullo
I'm an atmospheric scientist who has noticed many observations of
people in tradional and ancient cultures watching birds to predict
weather. There is good reason to think birds have much better perception
of the atmosphere than H. sapiens, thus bird watching is a smart
way to go if you want to predict weather without instruments.

Question: Has anyone in anthro come across any sort of summary of (a)
cultural beliefs with respect to birds? or (b) comparison of how different
cultures predict weather?

Any leads much appreciated.

Thanx
