Exactly.
As El Guindi puts it: "Since uncovering structure is a process which 'gives
rise to formalization," is is the formalization, and not the
structure, that 'is the creation of the theoretician' (Piaget 1970:5);
structure is the creation of the culture-bearers" (El Guindi 1986:26, "The
Myth of Ritual").
