West Georgia College seeks to employ a Sociocultural Anthropologist for a
tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall
Quarter 1996, pending budgetary approval. Ph.D. required; teaching experience
and an active research agenda are preferred. Ability to secure outside
funding to support research and to engage undergraduate students in research
projects is important. Candidates are expected to teach Introduction to
Anthropology (4-field), Language and Culture,cultural area courses, and a
course that provides cross-cultural examination of the human life cycle.
