I have another idea. Why do not we look at the ways in which we all
contribute to the wellfare of the society which I see as the primary
concern of any of human activities, and more so of intellectuals rather
than looking for the reasons to establish one's superiority over others.
I write this as I cannot comprehend things like recently in Australia,
country of desert, the government made the decission to permit killing of
kangaroos and deers as the drought has created a competition condition
for grass (food) between these animals and cows, lambs etc..
My question is, there are countries which are "made" so to speak to
support grazing without having to kill other creatures. However, with the
market oriented on bying things only from particular places, we keep
these countries away from trading (i.e. money) even for the price of
enviromental distruction.
Why is that women in Bolivia climb mountains to collect few gramms of
tin, which by the way once upon the time was a major export material of
Bolivia before the market started looking somewhere else for this
resource. The poor women in order to not die chew cocoa leavs etc and
also in order to not feel hunger.
How to ensure that the market politics do not kill us, anihilate
completely? What does our work teach us??
