The search is now open for candidates for Director of Florida Atlantic
University's Women's Studies Center. The program at FAU has strong
enrollments, a dedicated faculty, and a master's degree program in the
planning stages. What follows is the actual announcement.

DIRECTOR OF THE WOMEN'S STUDIES CENTER

Florida Atlantic University invites applications and nominations for
the position of Director of Women's Studies Center. Starting date is
July 1, 1995. The Director is responsible for administering the
Center's well established academic programs, including the certificate
in women's studies, curriculum development, and faculty development.
The new Director must provide leadership to implement the proposed
M.A. in women's studies and to expand the women's studies program
throughout the university's departments and regional campuses.
The appointment, which will be at the rank of associate professor or
professor, will be full-time taching, research, service, and
administration the the women's studies program with tenure status in
the department of the Director's home discipline. Applicants should
be senior scholars with administrative experience and strong records
of teaching, research, and service in women's studies. Scholars in
any field of specialization are encouraged to apply.
