The Bangkok Post often runs intelligent analyses on various social issues
relevant to Thailand: AIDS, child labor, prostitution, etc. One article
in particular (which I saved!) seems pertinent. Called "The Sex Network",
it examines how men see prostitution as preserving the virtue of women,
by designating a small number of women to serve as sex workers. Thus, a
man can feel free to visit prostitutes without feeling any moral
violation. If you want a copy, let me know.
