kid. A friend of a friend of a friend ordered a new car from one of the
Detroit automakers and when they received it and drove it around, they began
noticing that the gas gauge needle hardly moved. So they took it into the
shop and the mechanic said there was nothing wrong and the tank was still
almost full of gas. They couldn't figure out why their car was using so
little gas. As it turns out, the automaker had mistakenly sent them a car
with their latest and "secret" new carburator that used practically no
gas. Of course the automaker was desparately trying to find that car and
buy it back while at the same time the new owners were telling their
story to all their friends in order to figure out why their car was not
guzzling gas.
