First, I agree with Hugh.

Second, I am a graduate student in anthropology who tends to lurk on this
list. To tell you the truth, I am somewhat frightened to post. I am not sure
that my opinions on certain subjects are valid and I dislike the concept of
being flamed (which has occurred when I have posted). I always try to offer
my opinions as those of someone who is willing to learn, especially when I am
misinformed on a topic.

I don't know if I will make a very good anthropologist, as I am reluctant to
argue a point vehemently, unlike others...

My courgage has grown. This list is a good forum for the discussion of
anthropological topics and I hope that I will be able to contribute more in
the future.
