I am a first time user studying anthropology at St. Mary's College of
Maryland. I am doing a paper on "environmental racism" for a senior
seminar class. The focus of my paper is the inequitable distribution of
wastes within African-American communities in the U.S. I am looking at
the causes for this problem historically, economically, and culturally. I am
also interested in what is being done about environmental racism (i.e
legislation, grassroots organizations, etc.) and how this problem
negatively impacts African-American culture. Many of my sources focus
on the importance of African-American womens' role in this fight.
I would greatly appreciate any ideas, comments, criticisms, sources,
or information that anyone could offer.

Thank You,
Zak Fusciello
