Hello. I am currently an undergraduate anthropology student with aspirations
toward graduate school. I'm interested in myth, ritual, and religion (also
the name of a course I'm currently in) and especially the work of shamans.
Specifically motives for the use of slight of hand in healing and curing
patients. I would appreciate any response that may be helpful in determining
the shaman's reason for using slight of hand and the implications that follow.
I'm looking for something from first hand experience that I can't elicit
from the literature available. Thanks in advance!
