Searching for Major Study on Latino Identity

About a year ago, maybe a bit more, a major study was done by a Latino
research group on the cultural identity of the US's Hispanic population.
As I recall, the study concentrated on the Mexican-American, Puerto
Rican and Cuban communities which are the largest numerically. Hearings
were held on the findings, some of which appeared on C-Span.

Does anyone out there know the name of the study or of the group that
did it?
