Anthropologist book review policy, I want to share with you a letter I
received this morning. It reads as follows:

"As the incoming editors of the _American Anthropologist_, it will _not_
be our policy to defer the review of ethnographic monographs to other
publications, though we will certainly favor monographs that make a
contribution to the development of ethnography itself. Thank you for your
