I agree. I was careful NOT to mention Affirmative Action, but was
wondering about the effects of "social guilt" and "social
responsibility," upon the culture of Americans. And how anthropologists
delt with this aspect in themselves.

Can we get back there? Is Social Conscience a real factor anymore?

(Though I really liked what Ronald Kephar said in "Paying up")
