Dear Carolyn,
I have known lots of people who have traveled to Europe, and
oddly enough, none of them considered themselves to be God's gift to
other countries. Maybe this was true 10 or 15 years ago, but I just haven't
observed that kind of "ugly American" attitude in a long time. I have,
however, observed some disappointment on the part of foreign tourists who
were expecting some pretty cliched sights etc. in America.
