Clarification

In my recent and hastily composed comments on Corduan. I should have
made two things clearer:

1. The review panel in each program is mainly composed of
university-based anthropologists who sit on the panel for no more than
three years each.

2. The program director does not dictate what kind of
anthropological research you must do. If it is scientific research (and it
must be given NSF's charter) and positively evaluated by your
peers and the panel, it is funded. Those who do humanistic research
have NEH for support.
