Ruby,

First of all, it's Raoul you don't get because I'm just trying to clarify
him. Secondly, no one is making a point, but rather trying to ask a question.

What Raoul's question boils down to is: are all those "deviants" (or at least
part or some of them) "deviants" *because of* the nature of the culture of
which they are a part.

Personally, I have never been persuaded to hold this belief (except in a few,
rare cases), but I would be glad to give you some examples, if you so desire,
of what I mean.
