We have had a recent resignation and would like to spread the word
about this one-year opening.

PACIFIC LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY seeks a socio-cultural anthropologist
(advanced graduate student or Ph.D.) for a one year appointment for the
1994-1995 academic year. We need someone to offer 2 or 3 sections of
Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (Anthro. 102) and 3 or 4 courses to
be determined. We prefer someone who can offer Applied Anthropology.
Total teaching load will be 6 classes within a 4-1-4 calendar. PLU
emphasizes quality teaching and takes pride in offering challenging
undergraduate classes. For additional information call Dave Huelsbeck
(206) 535 7196. To apply send a cover letter including potential course
offerings, a vita, a syllabus for Introduction to Cultural Anthropology,
any evidence you have for teaching ability (student evaluations, etc.), and
the names and phone numbers of three references to Dr. David Huelsbeck,
chair, Department of Anthropology, Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma,
Washington 98447. We will review files as they arrive and hope to make a decision by the beginning of June. PLU embraces the goal of equal opportunity
and affirmative action and actively encourages applications from women
and minorities.

Since Dave does not have an account you can reach him, through me at
