Thank you everyone for sending me interesting pieces of information and
your support.
After searching some through the Czech anthropology scene and
finding that anthropology of art is not being taught at any of our schools,
I decided that the field is still exciting and tempting enough and
that it is worth deeper investigation.

My current thesis research is on the underlying philosophical
problems in the art of the 20th century (specifically Malevitch, Mondrian
and American minimalism of the 1960's) dealing also with some problems of
theory of perception. I am however very interested in the role art has
as a catalyst of spiritual life in a society in a wider context.

I am applying for a series of scholarships to get enough funding for
a study in the USA. I am also looking intensively for specialized
anthropology departments and specialists interestested in anthropological
research in visual arts. I would be very obliged to possibly get some
information from the members of Anthro-L.
