Just for fun, here's an Old English sentence using ilk (spelled ilc- in those
days) as 'same' (minus the diacritics):
Thy ilcan geare gesette Aelfred cyning Lundunberg.
(in) that same year occupied Alfred king London
'In that same year King Alfred occupied London'
