Many thanks for your exposition concerning China and Taiwan, including
your doubts, when they exist, rather than with the know-it-all, emotional
language of
McCreery, typical of advertising hype. He becomes a racist when he needs
to make a rhetorical point, as easily as he becomes an a ageist,attacking
me on the basis of my age when he can found no other grounds, as easily
as he becomes a sexist, this self-styled feminist, when he cannot refute
my picture of the U.S. as a patriarchy on the grounds that he doesn't use
the word even when the condition exists. You explain a situation like a good
anthropologist should, with all its pros and cons. Ruby Rohrlich
