Seder Plate Symbolism

In my Anthropology of Religion class, I will soon be discussing Passover
and the symbolism of the Seder Plate (since I will have just returned from
a seder and, moreover, since I am often, in central Indiana, a convenient
"cultural other.").

Several years ago, in graduate school, I read a journal article on the
symbolism of the Seder Plate. I thought it was in a back issue of Man,
but I cannot locate the reference anywhere, even in the bibliographies
of books on the anthropology of Judaism.

Might anybody be able to lend me a reference?
