a few good articles

HELP! I'm looking for a few readable articles on development projects in
third world countries that either (1) foundered because of mutual ethnocentric
misunderstandings or (2) succeeded relatively well because the planners did
their homework, either consulting with the home folks or doing enough research
to anticipate their needs, etc.. This is for a freshman course on
ethnocentrism, so the articles need to be readable. I'd appreciate any help
you all could give me. Feel free to answer either personally or on the Net,
since seeing someone else's bibliography often sparks a nerve net in someone
else's memory banks. Thanks in advance.
