Does the World need another...?

In the same vein as Bob Graber's comments...
If you wake up in the morning and all you can think about is anthropology, or
all that you think is important or desirable to think about is anthropology,
then you already are an anthropologist. The degree(s) will allow to
compete at various levels for different kinds of jobs, sure; but they really
only serve to legitimize what you have already decided you are to be.

None of this means that for a job you shouldn't be a social worker, a
missionary, a politician, etc. It's a whole different question from what
sort of job you hold (and there has been a lively discussion of THAT on
this list over the past ew months!).
