Dear Dara,
you are asking if the world needs another anthropologist and if you
are going to find a job in anthropology.
ad 1: as long as there are human beings around the world will be in
need of anthropologists. Human life is still full of riddles and
of research topics. I keep being amazed about my own culture!
ad 2: if you are working hard and are good in anthropology, no doubt
you will fing a job. That's as true in anthropology as it is in
all academia, I suppose.
Most important: do, what you enjoy doing. That's at least the conclusion
after the 26.5 years I am on this planet.
