Greek orthodoxy: faith and healing

As some of you may recall, I am doing some research on Greek and Cypriot
word views on mental health-illness.

During this what is becoming apparant is the use of pilgrimages, specific
holy icons, and other reilgious acts as a part of what is seen as
necessary to have healing happen.

Has anyone on this list conducted any research in this area or do any of you
know of any such work I may read to get some more background understanding into
this area. Prefably written in English.
