The term "multi-culturalism" rather supports your view. In fact (in my
experience) multiculturalism invariably comes down in favor of a
collectivist view, "putting down" the competition between individuals which
is the heart and soul of Western culture.
And the collectivist view is the source of all kinds of trouble: the wrong
kind of competition.
