Think a moment about being a mother. You've been carrying around
this sentinent stone in your belly for nine months; you have at
long last expelled it painfully and laborously; and once that's
done you're encumbered with a noisy, messy, greedy little beasty
determined to dominate your life. You've either got to hate
it or love it or go bonkers.
If that's not instinct, it's just as good as.
