A quick visit to British Telecom's Web site and that of BT Laboratories
presents no pronounced evidence for the existence of (or plans for) the
"Soul-Catcher" memory chip that can intercept, record and play back neuronal
signal patterns. Certainly it's a neat idea, and the Japanese are growning
real natural neurons on the surface of addressable chips, but I've yet to
hear of any results of attempting to "directly interface" to neurons. If
anyone has a more authoritative source on this chip, I would dearly like to
be pointed in that direction.
