I am working on my Masters thesis currently and would appreciate any
help that anyone could provide.
An abstract of my project follows:

The research will explore the social and cultural dimensions of volunteer
fire departments (VFDs). My goal is to ascertain the degree to which
VFDs contribute to social cohesion, while recognizing the variability within
and between the VFDs. A special emphasis shall be placed upon gender relations
and their effect on the socio-cultural role of VFDs.

Any information or suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.
