UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY announces a tenure-track Assistant Professor position
in Physical/Biological Anthropology beginning September 1996. A PhD in
anthropology or near completion is required. A PhD in hand is necessary
for employment in the tenure-track. Responsibilities include teaching in a
program offering an undergraduate major, an ongoing research program, and
service. Areas of expertise should be evolutionary biology, disease and
diets (modern or ancient) and forensic science. People whose work
complements existing faculty at the university will be given preference.
The successful applicant must have the ability to teach introductory couses
in human origins and adaptation/variation and upper division courses in
specialty areas-submit evidence of successful teaching if possible.
Screening begins March 1, 1996 and continues until the position is filled.
