A month or so back this list had some queries about oxygen bars in Japan
and/or China. This item appeared in "Parade Magazine" last Sunday
(December 31, 1995, p. 11):

"From the _Chicago Tribune_:
"The latest trend in Beijing is "oxygen bars." Young professionals unwind
at the end of a hard day in an increasingly polluted city by inhaling
fresh air at about $6 an hour. Special herbs and spices, some of which
have medicinal qualities, can be mixed in for a higher price.
