concerning sibling and family relationships.


I am conducting a study of sibling and family relationships as
a doctoral student at New York University. Anyone who is
interested and meets the following criteria is requested to
participate.

1) You are at least 18 years old.
2) You have at least one sibling who is also 18 or older.
3) You were not separated from this sibling during childhood.
4) You no longer live in the same h
ousehold with this sibling.

In order to participate in this study, both you and your sibling
will be asked to complete an identical set of questionnaires
concerning your relationships with your family and with one
another, which will require approximately 30 minutes of your
time. If you have more than one sibling, you may select any
one of them.

Questionnaires can be forwarded to you, as well as your sibling,
in the following ways.

1) File transfer via E-mail. Please provide your E-mail
/Internet
address.
2) Fax. Please furnish your fax number.
3) Postal service mail. Please provide your name and address.

Kindly furnish the appropriate information for both you and your
sibling so that a set of questionnaires may be forwarded to each
of you. If you wish, two sets of questionnaires can be forwarded
to you so that you may distribute a copy to your sibling. Each set
will be coded to match the set of your sibling.

All information and responses are confidential. In
addition, the
data analysis is such that comparisons between groups will be
made. Individual responses will not be analyzed.
